AZIMUT Hotels has joined the Japan Friendly program
The international AZIMUT Hotels chain has been certified by the Japan Friendly (Friendly Japan) program. The first Japan Friendly hotels will be AZIMUT Hotel Olympic, AZIMUT Hotel Voronezh, AZIMUT Hotel Novosibirsk and AZIMUT Hotel Vladivostok, as well as AZIMUT Hotel Kyzyl since 2019.
In 2017, more than 100 thousand tourists from the Land of the Rising Sun have visited Russia and these figures are growing. According to forecasts of the Federal Tourism Agency, in 2018 the mutual tourist flow between Russia and Japan will reach 250 thousand persons. In many ways, this is contributed by the World Cup (it was visited by 10 thousand Japanese fans, and Japan took 15th place from 32 countries among the number of tourists during the 2018 World Cup). Russians also tend to visit the Land of the Rising Sun more often. According to the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO), 42.5 thousand Russians visited Japan in 2017, and in 2018 in Japan are expected 54.2 thousand tourists from Russia.
The Japan Friendly program for travel service enterprises (hotels, restaurants, museums, entertainment centers) aims to adapt the services for guests from Japan. AZIMUT Hotels chain had previously introduced and successfully runs the programs India Friendly (for tourists from India), Halal Friendly (for tourists from Muslim countries) and China Friendly (for tourists from China). After the introduction of these programs, the number of guests from designated countries increased on average by 1.5-2 times.
To become a member of the Japan Friendly program, a hotel must meet high evaluation requirements and depending on the category of hotel, in addition to classical requirements, a number of other factors are taken into account. First of all, it is the ability to make payments using the largest Japanese payment system JCB. The menu in restaurants should include Japanese dishes, and the staff should speak English, understand the mentality and customs of the Japanese. In addition, the presence of the site and navigation of the hotel in English is required. For 5-star hotels, the additional requirement is the press in Japanese.
After implementing the Japan Friendly AZIMUT Hotels program, for guests will be offered additional services that are not covered by certification. In particular, the site will be created in Japanese. Employees of hotels of the Japan Friendly program undergo Japanese Hospitality Omotenashi training.
